Whenever your body fails to take in enough water, it will begin to have difficulties functioning properly. While severe dehydration is pretty easy to spot, mild dehydration may slip by unnoticed. The problem with this is that even if your dehydration is mild it can still have a negative impact on your health, mood, and energy levels.

Below are some warning signs that you may not be getting enough water:

Headaches: Whenever you do not supply your body with enough water, you may experience mild to severe migraines. A good idea any time you experience a headache is to make yourself a large glass of water and drink it quickly. If the headache seems to go away, there is a good chance it was related to your dehydration.

Bad Breath: Whenever you are dehydrated your body will not be able to produce a healthy amount of saliva to coat your mouth. Your saliva is full of antibacterial properties. These antibacterial properties help fight the bacteria in your mouth from becoming overwhelming. Whenever you have bacteria overgrowth in your mouth, you are more likely to have bad breath.

Dry Skin: Whenever your body starts to fall low on hydration it has the ability to impact your skin. You will start to lose your natural oils and may even stop sweating. Additionally, whenever you are dehydrated, you may notice your skin becomes red or your face appears flushed with little exertion from you.

Muscle Cramps: If you experience frequent muscle cramps, this could be because you are not staying hydrated. This is especially the case for those who are exercising in the heat and not refueling their body with water or electrolytes. Make sure if you stay active you are feeding your body enough water and nutrients to support your physical tasks.

Sweet Tooth: Whenever your body becomes dehydrated, it will be difficult for it to release glycogen, which the body uses for energy. This can result in your body craving sweets, in order to get more glucose to supply itself with energy. Additionally, you may always feel hungry and that you cannot eat enough whenever your body is dehydrated.
