Kristen Sheldon grew up locally in Kingwood, Texas. After graduating from Kingwood High School, she attended Baylor University where she obtained her Bachelors degree in Nursing. She worked in the neonatal ICU for several years, before she moved to pediatric oncology research at MD Anderson. It was at MD Anderson where Kristen decided to pursue her Masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Texas Woman’s University in the Medical Center.
Upon graduation, she began practicing in family practice. She now serves as Faculty at TWU in the Masters program she graduated from. Kristen is also working on her doctorate at Johns Hopkins University, focusing on disease improvement with obesity management.
In her free time, she loves to travel with her husband and daughter. She loves to spend time with her family who live locally and volunteer for the community.
